JOIN US IN THE OPEN WATER FOR SWIM SESSIONS TO NATURALLY HELP MANAGE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

Each session will take about 1 hour with between 10-30 minutes in the water

 There will be 5 minutes of gentle exercise and stretching (with changing robes/warm gear on), before entering the water (swimsuit only).

While in the water, depending on the ability of the participants we may do the following

  • Running / walking into the water, around a lifeguard and back (waist only)
  • Breathing exercises
  • Learning the technique of body surfing
  • Swimming (distance dependent on conditions + ability)
  • Instruction in open water swimming techniques

You will be with a lifeguard for the duration of the session

We may monitor changes in mental health by asking you to fill in questionnaires at the beginning and the end of the course.
