Dr Tania Longman

I’m a GP with a special interest in menopause and work in the Plymouth area.  I have a yoga teaching qualification and am currently studying for a diploma in Applied Nutrition.

I first started wild swimming 3 years ago on a cold January day in the sea in Torbay!  I was studying for exams at the time and feeling quite frustrated at my lack of energy and motivation.  All that changed after plunging into the sea and I haven’t looked back since.  Both personally and professionally I’ve witnessed and experienced the huge benefits to both our physical and mental health that outdoor swimming can bring – like flicking a ‘wake-up’ switch!  I’m fortunate to live close to both river and sea so manage to swim most days year-round.  I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join Chill UK and support more people in making real lasting positive changes in their lives.
